Sarah, and her husband, Mark have been married 19 years, and live in Waco with their three children. Sarah grew up in Coppell, Texas (a Dallas suburb), and graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Marketing. Sarah began her career in Corporate Sales, Marketing, and Advertising. In 2009, Sarah took on the balancing act of being a co-owner of a skincare company while maintaining the role of "mom". Sarah loved working in the beauty and skincare industry, but after seven years felt called to lay it aside. Sarah began to focus on the ministry of writing, and in 2017 was published in Roaring Lambs Ministry "Stories of Faith Volume II". The same year she also joined https://thewacomoms.com/ online parenting publication as a Contributing Writer & Influencer. In 2018, Sarah began working in her current role as the Connection Coordinator on staff at her home church First Woodway Baptist Church.
As a young child Sarah had passion for music and has been gifted with opportunities to lead worship in different capacities since the age of thirteen. She has combined her love for music and skill for writing to partner with organizations such as the American Family Radio and Gospel Music Association, while releasing original music an independent artist within the Christian Contemporary genre.
Over the years, Sarah has loved getting to know the women of Waco by being involved in organizations such as Junior League, and MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers). These experiences, along with being a mom, have given her a heart to encourage and relate to other women. Over the past two years, she has felt led to begin sharing some of her own experiences as a woman and mom to help minister and to encourage others. Due to the Lord’s leading, Sarah recently started a series on dealing with crisis from a spiritual perspective, which is based on her own personal experience. The goal is to help others find hope in hardship.
The last nineteen years have been an adventure! Fifteen of those years have been spent living in Waco. Sarah and Mark also enjoyed living in Austin and Miami, but Waco called them back each time they moved away. Sarah and her family are grateful to have laid down roots that have grown deep within the heartbeat of their home city. They are thankful for their community, and dear friends who they have the opportunity to live life with…..and are beyond blessed to call Waco home.

Peace in “The Perfect Storm”

We can all relate to stories, because our lives are made of them. Our chapters may look different in the details, but we all share in love, laughter, pain, and death. My purpose and prayer for this blog is to inspire strength and encourage faith. Theme: Finding Peace & Comfort in Crisis 2 Corinthians 1: [...]
