We can all relate to stories, because our lives are made of them. Our chapters may look different in the details, but we all share in love, laughter, pain, and death.
My purpose and prayer for this blog is to inspire strength and encourage faith.
My first loves: The Lord, my husband Mark, and our three children.
I have a heart for worship, which means my heart belongs to Christ. The Lord has given me a passion to sing, songwrite, and to lead others into his presence.
I am a small business owner. I am the oldest of four daughters. I have a large extended family, and have lived in several states and cities.
I graduated with a BBA in Marketing from Baylor University.
You I am a contributor for Waco Moms Blog where I share these stories, blog from a mother’s perspective. Read and visit waco.citymomsblog.com
I spent five years in corporate sales, advertising, and communications. I owned a day spa specializing in facials for seven years, and owned a national licensed brand. I love skincare, fashion, and traveling.
I have what I call a “little Independent album” titled Every Part of Me that I co-wrote and recorded in Nashville as an Independent artist.
These are just a few things that define who I am . It is through my relationships, passions, experiences, and life pursuits that the Lord has disciplined me, forgiven me, loved me, and shown great mercy . I am blessed with testimonies of how the Lord has taught me important spiritual and life lessons while offering his grace. In all of these stories there is one common theme. I call it my umbrella testimony, because regardless of the lesson I learned the Lord has always revealed His spirit.
The simple truth is that God wants to reveal Himself to all of us. He wants us all to know who He is. There is nothing we can do to earn His presence. He gives it freely because He is faithful.
I am not a theolgeon, or scholar. I am not an expert, and I did not get a degree in seminary. I simply feel led to share how the Lord has worked in my life, and given me hope and peace in the eye of the perfect storm. I feel compelled to share how the Holy Spirit walked me through a crisis, while giving me an eternal perspective.
Over the past two years I have prayed the Lord would give me guidance in how to share with others. I have sought council, confirmation, and scripture that has brought me to a place to share in this format.
2 Corinthians 1: 3-5
“Praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
The New International Version
I have found this scripture to be so true when I have shared my story. When we receive the Lord’s comfort in our own experiences it allows us the privilege to share what God has done in our life, and in turn gives others the same comfort we ourselves have received. There have been several occasions where I have been able to share how the Lord revealed Himself to me, and walked me through a crisis. Afterwards countless people express how they can relate because of similar circumstances in their own lives.
